As part of the Senate's fact-finding mission, Rogue and Wraith Squadrons are being deployed to assess the military and intelligence capabilities of the newly rediscovered planet*. This should come as a welcome vacation for Wraiths Garik "Face" Loran and Ton Phanan, who've been carrying on like a couple of Bothans in heat with a woman indentified as a native of World 3. In fact, suspicious minds suggest that the "mission" is just a smoke-screen to disguise the real purpose for the visit-- to sample the delights of a new and unexplored populace.
"Isn't it obvious?" asks Grinella Gouvon, owner of The Gray Bothan, Coruscant's most exclusive pleasure palace. "They've gotten bored with the best that we've got to offer; they need something new and exciting. They haven't been in here in ages."
Gouvon sees this planet's reappearance as a way to rejuvenate Coruscant's nightlife. "I asked to go along and assess the talent. I'm sure I could find plenty of things to tempt our pilots with, but nooo... that would be trafficking. Like that's a bad thing. How do they think I got our current inventory? Now, you take a look at our Bothan line, fresh off Bothawui. Senator Fey'lya says they're the best he's seen. He didn't complain when I brought them in, the mangy camel-breathed creep."
What is the real purpose of the visit to World 3? If our Senate won't tell us the truth, who will? Clearly, the Times will have to undertake a journey of our own.
* The Bothan Consulate contends that World 3 is a new discovery and therefore under their jurisdiction.
